The Energy Sector in Transition: Insights from the 2026 Robotron Annual Conference

Energy

How are MaBiS-Hub, smart metering, intelligent control, AI and new data-driven processes transforming the energy sector? These and many other questions about the future were the focus of the 26th Robotron Annual Conference on the Energy Sector, held on 17 and 18 September in Dresden.

In over 40 presentations and workshops, industry experts, users and partners discussed current regulatory requirements, technological developments and concrete solutions. Key topics included the MaBiS Hub, iRLMSys, grid- and market-oriented control, the further development of the Robotron Energy Market Platform, and new tools for digital and data-driven energy sales.

In addition to the technical programme, the annual conference – attended by over 300 participants – once again provided ample opportunity for personal exchange and a shared perspective on the industry’s upcoming challenges.

A big thank you to all participants, speakers and partners who shared their knowledge and experience and who, once again this year, made the conference a special industry gathering.

We have compiled the key topics, impressions and highlights from the two days of the event in our review (in German): jahrestagung.robotron.de/rueckblick/rueckblick-2026
