The German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media e. V. (BITKOM) is the spokesperson for the IT, telecommunications and new media industry. BITKOM represents more than 2,500 companies in the Federation of German Industries (BDI) in dealings with the German government as well as in corresponding committees when drafting bills and resolutions. Since the founding of BITKOM, Robotron has been a member of the largest industry association in Europe and is active in the working groups of Big Data and Smart Grid, Advanced Analytics, Smart Services and Artificial Intelligence, among others.

DOAG - Deutsche ORACLE-Anwendergruppe e.V.
The DOAG ("German Oracle User Group") is the only representation of user interests of Oracle products in the areas of core technology, technical solutions and business solutions in Germany. Its goals are the exchange of information and the transfer of knowledge about the usage, handling and experiences with Oracle products as well as the representation of the users' interests towards the manufacturer. One focal point of Robotron is the topic "Oracle Database Appliance". Within the DOAG Community "Infrastructure and Middleware" Robotron is responsible for the topic "Oracle Database Appliance". The meeting of the DOAG regional group Dresden/Saxony has been organized by Robotron from the beginning and is held regularly at our premises.
The EDNA Bundesverband Energiemarkt & Kommunikation e. V. ("Federal Association for Energy Market & Communication") is an association of consultants and manufacturers of software systems for the energy supply industry. Its goal is the automation of business processes between market participants in the liberalized energy market. To this end, EDNA works closely with associations and users. Robotron is among others actively involved in the project group " change of supplier".
The Forum Network Technology/Network Operation in the VDE (FNN) ("Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies") is the committee responsible for the development of VDE application rules and technical notes for the safe and reliable operation of transmission and distribution networks.
Liberalization of the energy markets, emissions trading, new energy-relevant laws and regulations, rising energy prices as well as the possibility of using renewable energies occupy energy suppliers to the same extent as energy users. The Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) is available as a contact point for all questions relating to the energy industry. Small and medium-sized companies in particular receive free and independent consulting and contact mediation.
The OPC Foundation is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Open Platform Communications (OPC) standard for secure and reliable data exchange in industrial automation and other industries. This standard is platform-independent and ensures the seamless flow of information between devices from different manufacturers.
The Data Warehouse Institute (TDWI) is an international association for Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing (DW). TDWI Germany e.V. has developed into an important community for BI/DW. Today, the association is the pacemaker of the German-speaking BI and DW scene and a platform, independent of manufacturers, for the exchange of ideas between users, providers and consulting firms.
Some Robotron employees have been TDWI members and participants in national and international meetings for several years. They have successfully received TDWI accreditation as Certified Business Intelligence Professionals (CBIP).
The Eclipse Foundation
Eclipse is a community of individuals and organizations that aims to contribute to commercially deployable open source software. The projects focus on establishing an open development platform (composed of frameworks, tools and runtime environments) for building, distributing and managing software throughout its lifecycle. The Eclipse Foundation is a non-profit, member-supported corporation hosting the Eclipse projects. In addition, it supports and maintains both the open source community and the ecosystem of complementary products and services.
