Karlsruhe/Dresden, 7 May 2025 - More and more wallboxes, heat pumps, air conditioning units, battery storage and photovoltaic systems - the new energy world places high demands on the electricity grids and especially on local grid operators. To avoid bottlenecks, they must be able to intervene and control devices remotely if necessary. At the heart of this is the so-called CLS management (Controllable Local Systems). EnBW Utility Services, which acts as a service provider for numerous grid and metering point operators within and outside the EnBW Group, has now opted for state-of-the-art CLS software from Robotron Datenbank-Software GmbH in Dresden.
The new system not only covers congestion control and thus contributes to security of supply in the low-voltage grid. Another important aspect is the regulatory obligation to roll out control boxes in order to implement the new technologies across the board. In the Europe-wide tender, Robotron Datenbank-Software GmbH impressed with its comprehensive fulfilment of the requirements and its technical expertise.
Bettina Buchert, responsible for the EnBW Utility Services division, explained: "With the new CLS management solution, we are creating an essential and modern interface between the energy transition in the grid and the end customers - a highly relevant building block for a modern energy industry. The CLS management of EnBW Utility Services with the Robotron system benefits all internal and external service customers in two ways: They fulfil their tax compliance obligation and meet legal and regulatory requirements.
